Summer is coming and high waisted flare pants are in style! These pants have gained so much attention on TikTok for their form-fitting style at the top and extra fabric at the bottom for some flare. This high-waisted style keeps the tummy in and the light fabric makes it perfect for day wear.

So what fabric do you choose to make these pants? Well, you have options. The most popular material is peachskin. It’s 100% polyester that is brushed to give the fabric a soft-suede-like feel (like peach skin!). Another is any rayon-lycra mix. This material is also soft, stretchy, and light - which are the 3 key components to these pants. You’ll need 2 yards of either of these materials to make these pants.

Let’s talk about the print! While these pants can be rocked in any print that calls your name, there is a special secret if you want them to create that beautiful form-fitting illusion. The secret is choosing a print that is small and in lines either vertically or chevron like you see in these pictures. The lines stretch around your hips and relax around your lower leg due to the cut of the pants creating that super form-fitting look.
